Member Lines of the FEFC wish to inform customers that the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of USD 90 per TEU will now continue to be applied until 15th November 2006. For Member Lines of the FEFC London, 25th October 2006 August 17th As customers may be aware, under the requirements of the Marpol 73/78 convention, the Baltic Sea is designated as a special area as from 19th May 2006. This means that vessels operating in this area must use fuel oils with a sulphur content not exceeding 1.5%. Therefore, for cargoes to/from Baltic Sea destinations, a Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge of USD 5/TEU will apply with effect from 1st September 2006. This will be in addition to the FEFC BAF mentioned above. FEFC has clarified the defenition of Baltic ports other than the Baltic states to be: Sweden: Norrkoping, Stockholm, Vasteras, Sodertalje, Oxelosund, Gavle, Malmoe, Helsingborg, Gothenburg. Denmark:Aarhus, Copenhagen, Fredericia. Finland: Hamina, Helsinki, Kotka, Mantylouto, Rauma, Turku. Russia: St Petersburg. Poland: Gdynia.
